Featuring my juicy pop art red lips, XOXO and the quote “be your own hero” :) the Bird is from my Business Logo Songbird Designz, named after the Bernard Fanning song Songbird :)
It has been created with layers of spray paint and then brush details have been added over top with ink and impasto paint on the lips.
On a base of book pages from the book ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ by Arthur Golden, that have been laid like bricks. Many layers Acrylic Washes have been added to give them a realistic brick look.
Medium: Acrylic, spray paint and ink on book pages attached to cotton stretched canvas, it has been finished with satin varnish, signed on the front ‘Debstar’ my street name :) Framed with a timber floating frame and is ready to hang.
