Hi I’m Deborah Lang aka Debstar, I work from my home based Brisbane Studio.

I’m a mixed media artist known for my bright colours and works on book pages.  

My subjects pop out from the canvas which are oozing with texture, my paintings are varied as I take inspiration from the world around me.

I like to paint birds, animals, penguin book covers, nudes, popart, streetscapes, beachscapes, flowers… Lately there’s a bit of a bird theme developing :) 

Exploring textures and playing with different mediums and subjects is how I keep my zest for creativity!  I always have so many ideas it’s exciting to see them come alive on the canvas.  

My artworks are displayed in commercial and residential premises throughout Australia and around the world.

At the end of the day I just want people to smile when they look at my work.
